Vehicle Build Technician

We’re looking for two experienced Vehicle Build Technicians to join a small business on an exciting 6-month contract based in Warwickshire.

Working within a specialist engineering environment, you’ll be involved in the repair, maintenance and prototype build of bespoke vehicles, supporting a range of innovative engineering programmes. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys varied, hands-on work rather than routine servicing.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out vehicle repairs, servicing and maintenance.
• Support the build of prototype and development vehicles.
• Assemble and install mechanical and electrical vehicle components.
• Diagnose and rectify mechanical faults.
• Work from engineering drawings and technical documentation.
• Carry out inspections and testing to ensure vehicles meet the required standards.
• Work closely with engineering and production teams to support ongoing development projects.

What We’re Looking For

• Previous experience as an Automotive Technician, Vehicle Technician or Mechanical Technician.
• Strong mechanical repair and maintenance experience.
• Experience working on prototype, development or low-volume vehicles would be highly advantageous.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Good fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Full UK Driving Licence.

Desirable

• Previous defence or military vehicle experience.
• Experience building specialist, off-road or bespoke vehicles.
• Background within prototype, R&D or vehicle development environments.
