Test Technician
Location: High Wycombe
Salary: £28,000 per annum
ReeVR Talent are currently looking for a Test Technician to join our clients busy manufacturing team. This is a hands on Test Technician role involves the mechanical and electrical inspection and testing of components, sub-assemblies and finished products.
Key Responsibilities for the Test Technician
- Carry out mechanical and electrical inspection and testing throughout the manufacturing process.
- Inspect incoming components, sub-assemblies and finished products to required standards.
- Accurately complete test, inspection and sign-off documentation.
- Read and interpret CAD and technical drawings.
- Support investigations into internal and customer concerns, identifying root causes and supporting corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate test and inspection reports and KPI information.
- Follow company health & safety, environmental and 5S procedures.
- Support risk assessments and continuous improvement activities.
Skills & Experience for the Test Technician
- Previous experience in a testing or inspection role, ideally within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
- Good understanding of mechanical and electrical testing and measurement techniques.
- Knowledge of metrology is desirable.
- Experience with specialist mechanical/electrical testing would be advantageous.
- Able to accurately read and interpret technical drawings.
- Good problem-solving, communication and time management skills.
- Good computer skills, particularly Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Experience creating test and inspection reports and documentation.
- Knowledge of A3 or 8D problem-solving would be beneficial.
- Understanding of ISO 9001:2015 and Lean/5S methodologies would be advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines.
