KEY ACCOUNT MANAGER

£35,000–£40,000 Permanent Monday–Friday 1:00pm Finish Every Friday

We’re looking for an experienced Account Manager or Sales Administrator / Internal Sales Coordinator with a background in manufacturing or engineering to join a collaborative business where customer relationships genuinely matter.

Forget the endless cold calling and aggressive sales targets.

You’ll manage a small portfolio of key customers, becoming their go-to contact and taking ownership of their orders from enquiry right through to delivery. You’ll work closely with Planning, Production, Engineering and Purchasing, making sure everything stays on track and customers are kept informed.

It’s a role where being organised, commercially aware and good with people really counts.

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?

• Manage a portfolio of key customer accounts.
• Coordinate orders from enquiry through to delivery.
• Build and maintain strong, long-term customer relationships.
• Work closely with Planning, Production, Engineering and Purchasing.
• Keep customers updated throughout the order process.
• Resolve queries and issues quickly and effectively.
• Manage multiple customer projects and priorities.
• Visit customers when required.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

We’re open to candidates from two backgrounds:

Experienced Account Managers with a manufacturing or engineering background.

OR

Sales Administrators / Internal Sales Coordinators who are ready to step up into a full Account Management position.

You’ll ideally have:

• Experience within manufacturing, engineering or electronics.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Good commercial awareness.
• Experience using MRP / ERP systems.
• Excellent organisation and attention to detail.
• The ability to manage multiple priorities.
• A good technical understanding of an engineering or electronics manufacturing environment.

IMPORTANT

This is a fully site-based position.

You’ll be working closely with Production, Engineering, Planning and Purchasing every day, so being on-site is key to keeping customers, orders and projects moving.
