Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

Our client is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer & a Mechanical Design Engineer to support a variety of programmes within aerospace. The role involves assessing existing mechanical designs, identifying issues and performing root cause analysis.

Contract Details:

• Inside IR35 – £45-55.00ph DOE
• 12 month contract 
• 4 days on site, 1 from home

Key Responsibilities

• Root cause analysis on legacy mechanical designs
• Investigate mechanical issues
• Catia V5 design work
• Review and update existing engineering drawings and documentation
• Collaborate with wider team to understand design history and operational performance
• Prepare technical reports

Required Skills & Experience

• Proven experience in mechanical design & analysis
• Strong background in rotating machinery/components, motors, generators is desirable 
• Experienced with NX or CATIA
