Key Responsibilities for the CNC Setter/Operator

As the CNC Setter/Operator you will be set up, operate and maintain CNC and manual lathe machines.

Read engineering drawings

Carry out first-off and final inspections to ensure parts meet specification.

Operate multiple machines efficiently to meet production deadlines.

Deburr and clean finished components ready for assembly.

Rework or modify production parts when needed.

Ensure all programmes are backed up daily.

Keep work areas clean, organised and safe.

Label tools and jigs correctly for easy identification.

Suggest continuous improvement ideas to support lean manufacturing.

Work independently and as part of a team to deliver high-quality products on time.

What We’re Looking for for the CNC Setter/Operator 

2–3 years’ experience in CNC setting and operating.

Ability to read engineering drawings

Good computer and communication skills.

A positive, flexible attitude with excellent attention to detail.

Ability to organise your own workload and meet production targets.
