Senior Manufacturing Engineer – Aerospace (Composites) 

**Must be eligible for Security Clearance**

Are you passionate about advanced composite technologies and want to work at the forefront of aerospace manufacturing? We’re looking for a skilled Composite Manufacturing Engineer to join our high-performing team in Bedfordshire.

Responsibilities for the Senior Manufacturing Engineer: 

  • Developing composite processing techniques and assembly strategies for specialist aerospace parts.

  • Improving manufacturing processes in line with a “Zero Defects” philosophy.

  • Creating clear work instructions for end-to-end manufacture (laminating through to assembly and paint).

  • Supporting new product introduction (NPI) and existing programmes, including direct customer interaction.

  • Using data-driven problem-solving approaches to drive quality and efficiency.

  • Leading continuous improvement activities to reduce waste and improve processes.

  • Identifying tooling requirements and approving tools for production use.

  • Conducting PFMEAs and implementing control plans across different product lines.

What We’re Looking For in the appointed Manufacturing Engineer: 

  • HND (or equivalent) in a relevant engineering subject, or an accredited engineering apprenticeship with industry experience.

  • Solid knowledge of composite materials processing methods 

  • Understanding of composite material testing (advantageous).

  • Experience working with ERP systems to create and maintain BoMs and Routings.

  • Familiarity with problem-solving techniques such as 8D and 5 Whys.

  • Strong organisational, analytical and communication skills.

  • A self-starter who can work independently and take ownership of activities.

  • Team player able to collaborate effectively with wider operations teams.

Salary & Benefits

  • Salary: £60,000 – £65,000 (depending on experience)
