Stores Operative (Part-Time)

Hours: 20 hours per week (part-time, with there being 40 hours  available in the future
Pay: £12.21 – £14.67 per hour (dependent on experience)

About the Role

We are looking for a reliable and organised Stores Operative to join our team on a part-time basis. As a Stores Operative, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of our stores function, supporting the wider manufacturing operation, and maintaining high standards of stock accuracy and organisation.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive, check and record incoming deliveries.

• Store materials and equipment safely and systematically, ensuring efficient flow within the manufacturing process.

• Pick, pack and issue stock to internal and external customers.

• Maintain accurate stock records and carry out regular inventory checks.

• Report and manage stock discrepancies, shortages and damaged items promptly.

• Promote and maintain a safe working environment, complying with all Health & Safety requirements.

• Provide support to colleagues and other departments as required.

Skills & Experience Required

• Previous experience as a Stores Operative or in a similar warehouse/inventory role within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

• Strong organisational and time-management skills.

• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to follow procedures accurately.

• Experience using MRP (Material Requirements Planning) software.

• Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
