Junior Cost Support Engineer – Special Purpose Machinery

Key Responsibilities of the Junior Cost Engineer:

• Assist in generating accurate cost estimates for engineering projects and bespoke machinery builds

• Support the preparation of quotations and costing breakdowns for internal stakeholders and clients

• Liaise with engineering and procurement teams to gather technical and pricing information

• Maintain and update cost databases, tracking material, labour and production costs

• Contribute to continuous improvement of costing processes and systems

Requirements of the Junior Cost Engineer:

• Engineering qualification (HNC/HND/Degree) or equivalent experience

• Strong numerical and analytical skills

• Good understanding of manufacturing processes and materials

• Proficient with Microsoft Excel; familiarity with costing or ERP systems is a bonus

• Excellent communication skills and a willingness to learn
