Technical Sales Estimator

An established and fast-growing group of specialist companies in the building services sector is on the lookout for a Technical Estimator professional to join its agile, close-knit team. Working at the heart of a business that designs and delivers smart solutions for healthier environments, you’ll play a crucial role in bringing projects to life across residential and commercial sectors.

What You’ll Do as the Technical Estimator

You’ll be supporting both technical and sales teams, using your mechanical or engineering know-how to:

• Design and estimate bespoke ducted systems for residential and commercial buildings

• Interpret technical drawings and specifications

• Engage directly with clients to understand project requirements and provide tailored advice

• Prepare accurate quotations and calculation sheets

• Use tools like AutoCAD LT, Revit-based software, and bespoke in-house systems

• Support external sales teams through technical input and occasional client meetings

• Track and report on sales activity, pipelines, and conversions

What We’re Looking For 

We’re looking for someone with a technical or mechanical bias, strong attention to detail, and a passion for solving problems. You should be:

• Comfortable reading and interpreting technical drawings

• A confident communicator (written and verbal)

• Analytical, numerate, and detail-oriented

• Proficient in Microsoft Office, and ideally familiar with CAD tools

• A proactive learner, open to full on-the-job training
