Lead Quality Engineer

Are you a hands-on quality professional with proven APQP and PPAP experience? Step into a senior role where you’ll lead new product launches, drive Right First Time quality, and embed best practice across operations and suppliers. Initially hands-on, you’ll have the chance to grow and lead a small quality team.

We’re looking for a Lead Quality Engineer to lead from the front. This is a senior, highly technical role where you’ll:

• Own APQP deployment across new product launches, process changes, and supplier activities.

• Lead PFMEA, Control Plans, validations, and ensure Right First Time quality across all operations.

• Engage directly with customers, auditors, and senior stakeholders to demonstrate robust quality systems.

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and embed best practice across the business.

• Initially hands-on, with the potential to grow and lead a small quality engineering team.

What you need to succeed:

• Proven experience in APQP and PPAP (candidates without this experience on their CV will not be considered).

• Several years experience in manufacturing quality engineering, preferably in safety-critical or high-integrity sectors.

• Degree in engineering or quality-related discipline (CQP status desirable).

• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

• Self-starter who can execute quality and compliance tasks independently.

• Willing and able to undergo DBS clearance – requires 5 years of UK work history.
