ReeVR Talent are proud to be partnered with Gulmay Ltd – a global leader in high-voltage power supply systems – in the search for a driven and technically strong Engineering Manager to lead their UK engineering team.

The Role
As Engineering Manager, you’ll play a key role in driving Gulmay’s R&D and product development functions, working closely with Sales, Marketing and Operations to align engineering output with commercial goals.

You’ll manage a talented multi-disciplinary team covering electronics, embedded firmware and mechanical design, ensuring the delivery of innovative, high-quality products that meet the needs of the high-voltage industry.

Key Responsibilities of the Engineering Manager: 

• Lead, motivate and develop a diverse UK engineering team across R&D and sustaining functions.

• Manage multiple concurrent projects, ensuring delivery on time, within budget and scope.

• Review and approve product designs, ensuring compliance with relevant standards.

• Collaborate with internal teams to support new product introductions and continuous improvement.

• Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction across engineering functions.

• Provide guidance, mentorship and direction to team members, supporting their professional development.

• Work with supply chain and external partners to support manufacturing and supplier relationships.

Key experience of the Engineering Manager: 

• Proven experience leading and managing cross-functional engineering teams.

• Degree-qualified in a technical discipline (Electronics, Mechanical, or similar).

• Strong understanding of product development processes – from concept to production.

• Previous experience in high-voltage design or X-ray systems is highly desirable.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

• Commercially aware, innovative, and capable of balancing multiple priorities effectively.
