Are you a CAD Designer looking for a varied role combining technical design, client interaction and project management?
Join a specialist engineering business delivering high-end, bespoke interior solutions for prestigious architectural projects across London. Working alongside leading architects, contractors and fabrication teams, you’ll help bring innovative designs to life, including bespoke metalwork, interior finishes and architectural lighting solutions.
This CAD Designer opportunity offers a 60/40 split between design and project management, with regular London site visits and client meetings. With genuine scope to develop your career, your progression will be driven by your ambition.
What You’ll Be Doing
Managing your own CAD design workload from concept through to manufacture.
Working closely with fabrication teams to resolve design challenges and ensure designs are practical and buildable.
Liaising with clients and architects to develop strong working relationships.
Attending site visits, carrying out surveys and coordinating with installation teams.
Supporting project planning, scheduling and labour management.
Reporting directly to the Design Manager and Director.
What We’re Looking For
2 years’ experience in architectural metalwork, sheet metalwork or joinery design.
Proficiency in AutoCAD
A strong eye for detail and the ability to turn concepts into practical, manufacturable designs.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage your own workload.
A proactive, collaborative approach and ambition to develop your career.
Previous experience in the lift and escalator industry would be beneficial, but training can be provided for the right candidate.
