A dynamic and rapidly growing engineering business is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join its high-performing team. This is a critical leadership role within a 24/7 manufacturing environment, where you’ll be instrumental in supporting cross-functional operations, working closely with Sales, Production, Engineering, and Customers to deliver outstanding results.

Key Responsibilities for the appointed Operations Manager:

• Oversee all aspects of in-house manufacturing operations, ensuring efficiency, safety, and quality standards are met across 24/7 production

• Lead, develop, and motivate production teams to meet output targets and maintain high employee morale

• Drive operational performance through KPIs and continuous improvement (CI) initiatives

• Support the delivery of complex engineering projects and work in close partnership with Sales and Customer teams

• Ensure adherence to health & safety, quality (ISO9001), and 6S practices

• Oversee shift management, production handovers, and coordination across departments

• Participate in budget planning and manage non-inventory purchasing as required

• Collaborate with HR and line managers on performance, development, and training

The Ideal Operations Manager Will Have:

• Proven experience in a leadership role within a 24-hour manufacturing or engineering environment

• Background in managing teams in a high-value, low-volume production setting

• Strong knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, and 6S methodologies

• Ability to interpret and work from engineering documentation and production data

• Excellent communication, team building, and cross-functional leadership skills

• Hands-on experience using ERP/MRP systems

• A results-driven mindset with a commitment to quality, customer service, and operational excellence
